Technical specifications

This section provides the technical specifications for videos produced by our content creators, including agencies and third-parties.

Preferred finishing codecs

• H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC)
• 20Mbps minimum bitrate (higher preferred)
• 1920x1080px for traditional 16:9 formats
• 1080px minimum width for square/vertical formats

Preferred intermediate codecs

• Apple ProRes 422 or GoPro Cineform
• Alpha channels (as appropriate)
• MOV format
• 16/24 bit WAV PCM audio

Audio and dialogue

• Dialogue -3dBs RMS peak
• Music -16/20 dBs RMS (lower than speech level)
• Separate audio tracks preferred.
